The aim of the project is to focus the attention of 5 habitats of the coastal area, important for their ecological value, extinction concerns or endemic aspects in the Adriatic sea.

For each species/habitat identified, at least one per park from Italian and Croatia coastal areas, it will be developed a specific pilot project together with common guidelines for the management of each species/habitat.

ASPEH will contribute to improve the biodiversity in pilot sites and the knowledge base on three priority habitats and three priority species, to develop a common conservation measures and an awareness campaign on it and to implement a Jointly Strategy for the better management of the Natura2000 sites. Moreover, ASPEH will contribute to preserve the ecological integrity of the "South Adriatic Ionian Strait" site that is an Ecologically or Biologically Significant Area between Italy and Croatia.
